Factory Reset for EXP40

How can I do a factory reset of the EXP40? I recently upgraded my T46G from firmware version 28.71.0.105 to version 28.71.0.108 and performed a factory reset of the T46G.

However, after doing the reset, some of the BLF lights on the EXT40 were still lit, while some were completely out (even though all keys were cleared in the web interface and all keys on the LCD were blank). After re-entering all of the DSS keys on the EXT40 (I have all 40 keys on the EXP40 set to BLFs), some of them show correct BLF status while others don't. Some will continuously show red (whether the extension is in use or not), some will continuously show green (again, whether the extension is in use or not), and others will not show any status at all (the light will be out completely). What's even more perplexing is that some BLFs will work just fine, showing correct status.

I've reset to factory defaults on the T46G twice and see the same issue. Between the two resets, different BLFs worked/didn't work, so I wouldn't imagine it's has anything to do with the specific extensions being monitored by the BLFs. Moreover, non-Yealink phones are monitoring the same BLFs without issue. Perhaps there is some incompatibility between the new firmware for the T46G (28.71.0.108) and the existing firmware for the EXP40 (6.16.0.0)?

Is there something which needs to be done to reset the EXP40 to factory defaults other than resetting the T46G to factory defaults?

Bugs in firmware v28.71.0.108

There are a couple of provisioning bugs in all the T46G firmwares (including 28.71.0.108) where certain provisioned values don't get picked up by the phone. The values are:

account.1.enable = 1

and

network.vlan.internet_port.enable = 1

Both of those values are disabled by default and when they're provisioned to be enabled, they get ignored. Both can be set manually, without issue, through the web GUI, however.

Caller ID and Directory entries

Hi, when calling out I need to dial 00, then the country code and number. This is how I set the numbers in the Directory. When a caller whom I have in the Directory calls in, his number is without the leading 00, it starts with country code and number. So, I do not see the caller name in the display, only the number. Is there a way I can get the T46G to recognize and display the caller name?

WMI on T28P

I have recently setup 3CX in a small office and have installed the T28P phones and for the most part they work great; however I have one unit that is setup to hotdesk and the WMI is not working on that phone. Wondering if I missed something in the setup or if that feature gets negated due to this specific hotdesking feature setup.
Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff

I am trying to configure BLF with the call pickup feature on a T22P phone. my current settings are Type: BLF, Value: 1000 Line: Line 1 Extension: **1000.

What settings am I missing? Also are the settings different for the T26P and T28P models? If so what are they?

How to change the Hold key to function as predefined function

Hi,

I want the Hold Button on the Phone (Yealink T28) should function as a speed dial.

Here what I did:
I went into the phone GUI and configured the Hold key (under programmable Key section) to function as Speed Dial.

Now, when the phone is idle (no incoming / outbound calls) I can use the Hold Key as speed Dial button. When I am on the call, when I press the Hold key it's going into regular hold mode, instead of calling the speed dial#.

can anyone help me who I can make it work.

Regards,
Anand

screensaver

HI

I recently purchased a SIP T32G.

I find the flashing screen distracting. I would like to turn it off. I would prefer to have the phone go blank (no slideshow of images or home screen). I have tried to delete the default file. I currently have the screensaver turned off.

How do I do make the screen go blank? Or do you have a blank image file that can be installed on the phone?

If this can not be done. Will I have a burn in problem if I leave the home (sunflower) screen on over time?

LDAP Directory

Guys, nice work has been done here, especially new firmware - 7.70.0.150 rocksSmile, our users love it - over 500 phone numbers.
By any chance could you give us possibility to add LDAP feature to softkeys e.g. instead of Dir button? Currently we are using line button but it's not as intuitive as soft Button with labelSmile
Best wishes
Greg

T42G XML Browser

From the Web interface on the T42G, you cannot set a DSS Key to the type "XML Browser". According to the T4X XML Browser Developer's Guide, the T42G phone should be supported.

Different volume controls

We have a sales room where the T46G is often used on speakerphone when a person from another department calls over via an intercom call. They also use this phone to answer incoming calls to their queue, but not often. They are telling me that different volume controls for different types of calls would be very helpful. They want the alert tone for an intercom call to be loud (especially since it's only one beep and can't be adjusted to three beeps!), but they want the ringtone for a regular incoming "queue" phone call to be very quiet. It's a distinctive ringtone, so even if it's very quiet, they can recognize it.

There is one volume control now that I know of - physical button on the phone. If we adjust that to loud for intercom call, then a queue ring is very loud also. If we adjust it to quiet, then they can't hear the intercom beep. Separate volume controls per call type would be invaluable.

T4x Time Zone Settings

Setting the time zone to "-6 United States - Central" results in an incorrect (-7 DST) time setting. Using "-6 Canada - Manitoba(Winnipeg)" makes the time display correctly. This problem exists on both the T46G (with 28.71.0.155 firmware) and T42G.

T-4x Provisioning : linekey.x.pickup_value

Hello,

I have the following in the configuration file :

linekey.4.line = 0
linekey.4.value = 10
linekey.4.pickup_value = **
linekey.4.type = 16
linekey.4.xml_phonebook =
linekey.4.label = 10

I notice however in the webinterface of my Yealink T-46G that for linekey 4 the field "Extension" is empty (in stead of holding the value '**').

How do I fill in the last field "Extension" of the line key via provisioning ??

MWI Not working with T20P

Hi

We have T20P's here and a swyx phone system. The MWI is working fine as far as when someone leaves a voicemail the phones pick it up showing a new vm, and then you can use the message button to retreive the VM. HOWEVR once you have listened to the vm and deleted it, the MWI is still lit showing that there are still new VM's.

Any ideas pls on how to get this to refresh?? If i logon to the backend of the individual phone and change the refresh time then hit confirm it realises that there is now VM's however it all starts again with a new VM. I have upgraded to the latest FW.

Thanks

Glen

Name is missing in DHCP

Hello,

Firmware Version 2.70.0.140
Hardware Version 1.0.0.39

In my T28P I have;

Internet Port Type DHCP
IP Address 192.168.1.80
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
MAC Address 00-15-65-3F-95-F2

... but in my ( multiple - TP-Link, pfSense, others when I test them ) routers I see;

4 Unknown 00:15:65:3F:95:F2 192.168.1.80

... and that 'Unknown' is a problem because I cannot tell which device this is unless I either set a permanent registration in DHCP or I ask all users what their IP Address is.

I did see a previous posting where a fix was supposed to be coming in the next .70 release but it didn't seem to make it into this one.

This is a bit of an administrative nightmare when you have lots of phones.

LDAP and massive FW push.

Hello YeaLink team!

Is there a way to get the phone to get pointed to an Exchange/AD server using LDAP to retrieve directory information? I tried setting up LDAP on my AD server and it failed. I pulled the directions from YeaLink's manual. Also, is there a way to do a massive FW push? I need to update 75 phones.

Thanks,
Ray
