Dial-Now fails to recognize time-out

$

Hi support,

If I set the Dial-Now rules directly from the GUI, when the phone recognizes the rule, it will dial according to the "Time out for Dial-now Rule" parameter (which is 1 second).

But if I create a dial-now rule from XML and have the phone load it, then two things may happen:

1. If I have selected a line and dialed the number, it will wait for the time set by the Inter Digit Time (which is 4 seconds) before dialing

2. If I dial the number without choosing a line (so the phone picks one by default), the number is never dialed and return idle after approximately 15 seconds.

Here's the XML I am using:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<DialNow>
<Data DialNowRule="[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxx" LineID=""/>
<Data DialNowRule="1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxx" LineID=""/>
<Data DialNowRule="3[xx]" LineID=""/>
<Data DialNowRule="*3[xx]" LineID=""/>
<Data DialNowRule="10[1-9]" LineID=""/>
<Data DialNowRule="*9[x]" LineID=""/>
<Data DialNowRule="*74[x]" LineID=""/>
<Data DialNowRule="[45689]11" LineID=""/>
</DialNow>

I have set the url in the y000000000000.cfg as this:
dialplan_dialnow.url = tftp://192.168.0.3/na_xfer.xml

The rules do appear in the GUI so I know it was recognized.

I also tried to set LineID to a value of 1 (since I only have Account 1 configured) and that did not change anything.

I tried it from a T28P with:
Firmware version: 2.71.0.140
Hardware version: 1.0.0.53

Thanks for looking into it.
Benoit

Okay, I realized what I was doing wrong. I was testing the rules that had the x within square brackets like 3[xx] ...

I removed the square brackets surrounding the x and it all works. In fact, the other rules (which I have not tested) were working.

Sorry about that but still a good learning post

Thanks,
Benoit

Hi,

Is it possible to set the DHCP hostname via auto provision? Is there a way to add this to the mac orientated .cfg file? Would be great if possible Smile

Problems T28P+EXP38

Hello, we have a T28P with three EXP38 attached.

Each time the phone is rebooted for any reason, EXP38s require AT LEAST HALF HOUR to get fully and stable functionality.
After the reboot, some lights on the EXPs do turn on, and other off... and change their state (I'm not telling about switching between green and red as usual, I really mean ON and OFF). E.g. after five minutes you have all lights turned on, and after ten minutes you have a third of them off again, with no clear reason.

Trying to fix this problem (and other minor problems with the phone), today I updated T28 software from V60.x to V71 (2.71.0.165).
But this has not fixed the issue, maybe it's even worse now. E.g. some minutes after the reboot, calling an internal number (from the phone itself) sometimes may take many seconds, instead of just the couple of seconds it takes normally... some calls seem to "hang up" automatically with no apparent reason, etc. In short, the phone seems to be LESS stable than before. And EXP38s are still working strangely after half hour. Maybe after the EXPs will have become "stable", all the phone may become more stable... but how long can this require?

Any idea?
I'm going to send you an email with the systemlog .tar file...

Another thing: how to know if EXP38 requires a firmware update?
All our three EXP38 have hardware version 16.0.0.0 and firmware version 3.17.0.0.
Your EXP38 support page
http://www.yealink.com/SupportDownloadfi...4&flag=142
does not expressly mention a firmware version, but links a .zip file with instruction for updating them by using an apposite T28 firmware (in short: flash T28 with an apposite modified firmware, then connect EXP38 to it -ONE AT A TIME!- to flash EXP38, then flash T28 again with a standard firmware. Not comfortable at all.)... that does not mention which one will be the resulting EXP38 firmware version (do I need it or not?), and how may do it someone who is using a T26 instead of a T28.

Yealink Caller ID when transfering and rejecting calls

Hello, I have experienced an odd behavior when two Yealink phones are dialing each other. If phone A dials phone B (both Yealink), phone B answers and then transfer to an invalid destination, then the call gets back from phone A and it has the caller ID from A, but also a (Via SIP: ...) that I'd like to get rid... is there a way to not show that (Via SIP: ...) because on small Yealink models it is throwing away the real caller ID.

T42G & T46G Echo and Hollow sound

I have a 3CX install using T42G and T46G phones and all have experienced echo and a 'hollow' sound during calls to the outside. It doesn't happen on intercom calls.
I see there are settings for echo and jitter but I can't find any documentation on Yealinks website or in the manuals for making any adjustments. Both phone types are running the current firmwares.

LDAP contact lookup with configuration files

Hi

I'm trying to configure 100+ T22p phones with LDAP contact lookup.

I've configured one handset manually and it's all working. So I've exported the config from that handset and copied the [ LDAP ] section to the configuration files of the other handsets.

I've forced an update on the handsets and they appear to have received new configurations and rebooted a few times.

However after they have finished the LDAP contact section is still blank. If I pull down one of their config files the [ LDAP ] section shows blank data.

Any ideas why this might be? All v70 devices.

What is the difference between standard Yealink and Broadsoft firmware builds?

Is there any benefit to using the Broadsoft firmware if I am not utilizing any Broadsoft products or services?

Music on Hold MOH

Does anyone have a list of URL's that will just work with the yealink phones for music on hold.

I have managed to find one url that does work but to have a list of others would be fantastic.

sip:music@iptel.org

UK radio stations would be the icing on the cake.

Speakerphone fading out

Hello,

One of our customers using a T38G reported that when he is on the speakerphone, the microphone becomes weaker and weaker. People reported that they couldn't hear him well until he picked up the handset and then everything worked fine.

The phone has S/N 1106313083400799 with FW 38.70.0.171. Shall I upgrade the firmware? This firmware has RPS link built in and we need that for remote provisioning.

Any advise is appreciated.

Thank you,
Barnabas

Auto "New Call" with call on hold

When I have a call on hold and I start dialing an outside number (not using a BLF key), is there a way to have the phone start a new call automatically? I know that after putting the caller on hold I can hit a line key or press "New Call" but it would save a step if at the start of dialing it would automatically start a new call.

Yealink T-4x provisioning : codecs and garbled sound

$

Hello,

when defining the audio codecs in a provisioning file, the audio is garbled.

This is not the case when I leave out any parameters that have to do with codecs, or when I manually configurate the Yealink T-4x.

Also this is no problem with Yealink T-3x phones, only with T-4x IP-phones.

But I like to define the prefered codecs in my configuration file in stead of using the "default".

I have the following in my configuration file for provisioning (when I leave this out, there is no problem) :

account.1.codec.1.enable = 0
account.1.codec.1.payload_type = PCMU
account.1.codec.1.priority = 1
account.1.codec.1.rtpmap = 0

account.1.codec.2.enable = 1
account.1.codec.2.payload_type = PCMA
account.1.codec.2.priority = 1
account.1.codec.2.rtpmap = 0

account.1.codec.3.enable = 0
account.1.codec.3.payload_type = G723_53
account.1.codec.3.priority =0
account.1.codec.3.rtpmap = 4

account.1.codec.4.enable = 0
account.1.codec.4.payload_type = G723_63
account.1.codec.4.priority = 0
account.1.codec.4.rtpmap = 4

account.1.codec.5.enable = 1
account.1.codec.5.payload_type = G729
account.1.codec.5.priority = 2
account.1.codec.5.rtpmap = 4

account.1.codec.6.enable = 1
account.1.codec.6.payload_type = G722
account.1.codec.6.priority = 3
account.1.codec.6.rtpmap = 9

account.1.codec.7.enable = 0
account.1.codec.7.payload_type = iLBC
account.1.codec.7.priority = 0
account.1.codec.7.rtpmap = 102

account.1.codec.8.enable = 0
account.1.codec.8.payload_type = G726-16
account.1.codec.8.priority = 0
account.1.codec.8.rtpmap = 112

account.1.codec.9.enable = 0
account.1.codec.9.payload_type = G726-24
account.1.codec.9.priority = 0
account.1.codec.9.rtpmap = 102

account.1.codec.10.enable = 0
account.1.codec.10.payload_type = G726-32
account.1.codec.10.priority = 0
account.1.codec.10.rtpmap = 99

account.1.codec.11.enable = 0
account.1.codec.11.payload_type = G726-40
account.1.codec.11.priority = 0
account.1.codec.11.rtpmap = 104

So how can I define my audio codecs in a configuration file for provisioning without having a garbled sound (that makes communication impossible) ??

【Advice & Suggestions】Whether to cancel annotations in CFG

$

0
Hi all,

I make a survey about whether to cancel annotations in CFG.

[NOTE]
For example,
In version 71, CFG files contain below annotations which start as #:

-----------------------------------------------------
#######################################################################################
## VLAN ##
#######################################################################################
network.vlan.internet_port_enable = 0

#Configure the VLAN ID, it ranges from 1 to 4094, the default value is 1.
#Require reboot;
network.vlan.internet_port_vid =

#Configure the VLAN priority, it ranges from 0 (default) to 7.
#Require reboot;
network.vlan.internet_port_priority =

#Enable or disable the VLAN of PC port; 0-Disabled (default), 1-Enabled;
#Require reboot;
network.vlan.pc_port_enable =

#Configure the VLAN ID, it ranges from 1 to 4094, the default value is 1.
#Require reboot;
network.vlan.pc_port_vid =

#Configure the VLAN priority, it ranges from 0 (default) to 7.
#Require reboot;
network.vlan.pc_port_priority =

#Enable or disable the DHCP to obtain the information of the VLAN; 0-Disabled; 1-Enabled (default);
#Require reboot;
network.vlan.dhcp_enable =

#Configure the DHCP option to obtain the information of the VLAN. It ranges from 0 to 255.
#Multiple options separated by a comma. It supports up to 5 options in all.
#Require reboot;
network.vlan.dhcp_option =
------------------------------------------------------------

We are checking and systemizing our CFG files to one unify template named version 72, which will cancel annotations in CFG files.

-----------------------------------------------------------
#######################################################################################
## VLAN ##
#######################################################################################
network.vlan.internet_port_enable =
network.vlan.internet_port_vid =
network.vlan.internet_port_priority =
network.vlan.pc_port_enable =
network.vlan.pc_port_vid =
network.vlan.pc_port_priority =
network.vlan.dhcp_enable =
network.vlan.dhcp_option =
---------------------------------------------------------
And you need to refer to auto provisioning guide for annotations.

Our product department will check the survey and make the final decision.
To cancel annotations? To keep it as the same as version 71?

Now please don't hesitate to vote or advise!! Smile
Thanks in advance for you kindly advice.Smile
