Hi all

Is there any way to disable completely the "message" Key on the T-28? We don't use Voicemail and we don't want to confuse the users.

Thanks for your help!

Disabling LDAP directory browsing

Is it possible to disable browsing of the LDAP directory on T2x phones?

We have LDAP directory integration enabled and it works well. However when you go to the LDAP contact list it lets you browse the list. This list doesn't use any search criteria or filter so we can't exclude disabled accounts. As a result users see loads of disabled accounts in the list.

Searches DO use an LDAP criteria so disabled users dont show in the search results.

Can the LDAP list be disabled or a filter/criteria be applied to the LDAP browsing list?

EXT39 and T38

I am trying to get (2) EXT39 modules to work with a T38 phone and 3cx. I have the first module working and showing BLF extensions, but the second EXT39 module only shows List1/List2 and will not display anything else for any of the other programmed buttons. Also, using the GUI admin page, key 21 appears to be stuck with only "switch" as an option. I have swapped the modules order and the problem always stays with the last module in the chain. I am running firmware 38.70.0.168 on the T38 and the EXT39 modules are 5.16.0.0.

Thanks,
Tim

DSSKey cannot use a mixed of Blind and Attended transfer

$

Hi,

I have a setup where my T2xP phones need to transfer incoming calls to a group of phones. But I also need to have a DSSKey doing a valet park.

I am using Freeswitch as my PBX.

If I set "Transfer Mode Via Dsskey" to Blind Transfer and I disable the other 4 options, the transfer to group works fine but the valet park will not properly work since I need to get the park lot ID back from Freeswitch.

With "Transfer Mode Via Dsskey" set to Attended Transfer, I get a mixture of conditions depending on how I set the other options. None properly works.

Here's what I wanted to accomplish:

1. Call come in and is answered by the operator
2. Operator hit the DSSKey of type Transfer with a group value
3. Freeswitch gets the transfer and bridge the group of phones. All the phones are ringing
4. Operator hangs up before someone answer

I am expecting the phones to continue ringing and the incoming caller to hear music on hold. The closest I could get by playing with the 4 other options is that only one phone remains in ringing state while the others stop ringing.

Do you have a combination that would work for my scenario?

Ideally, there should be a two type of Transfer: Blind and Attended insead of making it global for all DSSKey. It is limiting the functionality of the keys.

Thanks,
Benoit

Provisioning multicast settings – T42G

$

I am attempting to use the Multicast settings in the provisioning template to configure multicast paging on a large number of T42G phones. The phones are running the 29.71.0.112 firmware. I have entered the desired settings into the template and reprovisioned the phones, but the settings are not being applied. It is though that entire section of the template is being passed over. I have several other modifications within the template that are all being applied without issue, but none of the multicast settings are getting pushed out.

Here is the section from the template with my modifications:
#######################################################################################
## Multicast ##

#######################################################################################
#Configure the codec of multicast paging.
multicast.codec = PCMU

#Enbale or diable the phone to handle the incoming multicast paging calls when there is a multicast paging call on the phone; 0-Disabled, 1-Enabled (default);
#If enabled, the phone will answer the incoming multicast paging call with a higher priority and ignore that with a lower priority.
multicast.receive_priority.enable = 0

#Configure the priority of multicast paging calls. It ranges from 0 to 10.
multicast.receive_priority.priority = 0

#Configure the listening multicast IP address and port number for the phone. X ranges from 1 to 10.
#multicast.listen_address.X.ip_address =
multicast.listen_address.1.ip_address = 224.0.0.1:50001
multicast.listen_address.2.ip_address = 224.0.0.1:50002

#Configure the lable displayed on the LCD screen when receiving the multicast paging. X ranges from 1 to 10.
#multicast.listen_address.X.label =
multicast.listen_address.1.label = Page 1
multicast.listen_address.2.label = Page 2

#######################################################################################

Am I missing something? Is there another setting, or something that needs to be done beyond this for the multicast section to work properly?

Thanks.

UPDATE: There is another file involved in provisioning these phones: y000000000029.cfg, and that file also contains the multicast section. I don't fully understand the relationship between the files, but apparently this file either takes priority or gets applied after the phone's template file. Once I edited the multicast settings in this file, everything worked as expected.

XML Browser Automatic Polling

My phones are behind NAT so I can't easily push XML to them, So I'd like my phones to instead initiate a pull.

I'd like to have an option I can set in my configuration files where I can define a URL and a refresh period for the phone to poll my HTTP server for a XML File.

Desired Configuration:

xml_browser_poll.url = http://example.com/yealink/$MAC.xml
xml_browser_poll.repeat.enable = 1
xml_browser_poll.repeat.minutes = 30

Every 30 minutes the phone would poll my server for the MAC.xml file and parese it like if the user of the phone pressed a DSS key configured with the XML Browser action.

T3x not provisioning when connected to PoE port

I am seeing a very odd issue with our T3x and T2x phones. While unboxing them and plugging them in, they will not provision while connected to the network through a gigabit PoE port. The switch that is powering the devices is a Cisco SG200-26P 26-Port Gigabit PoE Smart Switch. If I connect the phones to a non PoE port and power with the AC adapter, the phones will provision properly. I can then plug them into a PoE port and they will function correctly. If I try to push a reprovision, they will fail. The display will cycle through the following messages:

Network Checking
Sending Provision Requests
Update Skipped
Welcome...Initializing

I have tried several phones and several ports with the same results.

Any ideas?

Removed features from firmware v28.71.0.180

In a previous firmware (specifically firmware version v28.71.0.155), there was a parameter to enable LDAP queries while dialing and a feature to specify what type of query to perform by default. The two options were:

#Configure the input type when the phone is in the dialing state, if the parameter "ldap.dial_lookup" is Enabled; 0-2aB, 1-123 (default), 2-abc, 3-ABC;
features.ldap.input_type = 1
ldap.dial_lookup = 1

These two parameters no longer appear to function in the above-referenced firmware version. Moreover, they are no longer documented in the Auto Provisioning guide.

Can both parameters be brought back? It was a useful feature to have.

T28 Dial Plan Replace

Hey Guys,
I'm working on a provisioning template currently for a T28 and I've got pretty much everything else going but can't seem to get the replace option in the dial plan to work. Looking on the provision guide posted on the yealink site it shows:
dialplan.item.X = Enabled,Prefix,Replaced,LineID
I tried
dialplan.item.3 = *21xxxx*xxx,*21
and
dialplan.item.4 = enabled,*21xxxx*xxx,*21,1
but neither are working.
I did get the dial now rule to work with:
dialnow.item.1 = 1xxxxxxxxxx

Anyone else having trouble with this or have any recommendations?

Thanks

T20P: Action URL, does it reboots on Register Failed?

Hi,

I wold like to know if for my phone, this url setting will work whenever any sip "Register Failed":
Code:
http://192.168.22.126/cgi-bin/configmanapp.com?key=reboot

I'm using OpenVPN, and I wish to reboot the phone whenever I lost connection (Register Failed). If possible I wold like to specify a time for reboot, for instance, 5 minutes. This will avoid systematic rebooting and the impossibility of accessing the phone web interface in the case of no network or bad sip configuration!

Code:
Firmware Version           9.71.0.140
Hardware Version           7.0.1.61

Failure to obtain IP Address

I have a T42G I'm trying to install that can't seem to obtain an IP address. I tried another, good working phone at the same location with the same results.
There is a PC in that office that is able to obtain an IP address. This particular location is quite a distance from the switch and I was wondering if perhaps that maybe the issue.
If it were, how can the PC obtain an IP address but the phones cannot?? Any suggestions will be welcomed!!

Update EHS36 firmware with T46G?

How do you upgrade EHS36 firmware when connected to T46G?

T46G firmware version: 28.71.0.176
T46G hardware version: 28.1.0.128.0.0.0

EHS36 firmware version: 1.16.0.0
EHS36 hardware version: 48.0.0.0

Support documentation only refers to EHS36 firmware upgrades when connected to T26 or T28Huh.

Pushing XML to a Phone

I am working on an XML application where I am Pushing the PhoneExecute Object to a T28P phone.

I can Push this example and the phone will dial OK and I can talk with extension 5367.

<YealinkIPPhoneExecute Beep="yes">
<ExecuteItem URI="Dial:5367" interrupetCall="no"/>
</YealinkIPPhoneExecute>

However, while I am speaking with extension 5367 and I Push the example below to the same phone, the phone does not disconnect:

<YealinkIPPhoneExecute>
<ExecuteItem URI="Key:CANCEL">
</YealinkIPPhoneExecute>

I have also tried URI="Key:ON_HOOK" and it does not work either.

I did read in another post where someone wanted to push info to a phone in use.

Yealink Tech Support responded with:
"Sorry currently we don't support push XML command during the call/ringing, it only can be used in idle status."

I can understand that and maybe it has changed with the recent release of new firmware. Has it?

Anyway, I don't understand why "Setting Methods" like CANCEL, HOLD and ON_HOOK exist if they cannot be sent to a phone that is in use.

Afterall, the only time I see CANCEL, HOLD and ON_HOOK being used is when a phone is actually in use.....

So maybe I missed something (I hope)

Does anyone have a solution to this??

Thanks

Yealink T42G on Wildix PBX

Hi,

Would need some help on configuring T42G on Wildix W40 PBX.
The problem is as follows:
1) the phone is registering on PBX, was connected from internal LAN and external (via Internet from home), gives the same results
it results registered on PBX and on the phone.
2) when trying to make a call from the phone to internal or external number, this gives no result, message on the display (Not allowed here)
3) when trying to call to the T42G phone from another phone on the network, the T42G is ringing, but when answered the other phone does not see that the call was answered, and on T42G there are no sound coming out and in, but time is ticking as the call is in progress
4) tried to setup soft-phones on iPhone and on other PC getting to PBX via Internet with the same account like T42G, and in both cases all is working fluently (can make and receive calls without any problem)
5) other Wildix phones that are on the network like WP480 or WP490 are working fine in both cases, if these are connected via Internet or in the internal LAN
6) Setting up T42G with another VOIP provider works great, can call and receive calls

So, the question is what I'm doing wrong?
Is there some particular setup that I'm missing?
Thanks for any help.

can't answer second call on T28

I can't answer a second inbound call if a line is active.
I put the first call on hold, but pressing the flashing Line2 key doesn't answer the incoming call, it gives me dial tone on that line and it continues to ring.
Adding Answer softkey to "on Talk" state doesn't help.
Adding Answer softkey to "Hold" state doesn't help.
Adding Answer softkey to "Dialing" state doesn't help.

I also can't hang up on line1 and answer line 2, just get dial tone and it continues to ring.
If the phone is idle when line 2 is called I can answer line 2.

Both lines are Shared Call Appearance on a Broadworks switch.

Hi all!

I'm trying to configure one DSS key for presing two digits when presses. I need it to open a door with a lock system that works.

I mean, when 00 is pressed in T28, the door is opened.

Anyway I configure it, I get a new call to 00 and I it doesn´t work.

How can I do it?

Thanks!
