Greetings!
A couple of our customers have been experiencing problems with echo on their T28P and T22P phones
(Firmware x.70.0.150). The echo can appear suddenly after several minutes into the call, as their own voice is being blasted back in their ear through the handset speaker in a very distracting manner.
Oddly enough, these customers have nice low latency connections to our PBX.
We run on Asterisk 11.2.1 and Patton SmartNode PRI's.
We have tried tweaking the echo cancellation and jitter-buffer settings on both phones and the PRI but it seems to have no effect on the problem.
I'm hoping that some of the forum readers may have tips and tricks on how to best deal with echo in their VoIP infrastructure.
